Christine Connerly
Christine Connerly recently moved from a Cascade foothills forest near Chico to a Mckinleyville oceanside community. She explores the beaches and forests of Humboldt County with a camera in hand to capture birds and other wildlife going about their business, dramatic beach scenes, textures of driftwood or forest floors, and the magic she sees in the natural world. Christine interprets what she finds in nature through photography, felting with wool, and creating collages and assemblages with paper, sticks, stones, fabric, paint, and found objects. By paying attention to and cherishing the natural world, she feels connected to and grounded on this beautiful blue jewel of a planet. Christine shares her art on Instagram @christineoftheforest
